Pachanga

Pachanga is a type of Latin American music and dance originating from New York in the 1950s and 1960s. Pachanga and Boogaloo are closely related. They were invented by Latinos in New York in response to the growing popularity of Jive in the white community. It still remains very popular, however, only in California, Columbia, where the original hits of this genre can be heard any day of the week on various radio stations and, in the weekends, at dozens of dance clubs.
